(I rebel against any restrictions!)<br /><br />One thing that really made me healthier - and completely changed my relationship with food - was to cut out as much processed food as possible (that is, food cooked by someone else). It's not like I make everything from scratch (I buy bread and pasta), but I try to avoid it as much as possible. For example, I try to have some fruit or almonds, instead of a protein bar - I make my own pizza rather than frozen - I make a pasta rather than a microwave dinner. It takes a little more effort, but I eat pretty much whatever I feel like (no restrictions beyond that!) and my weight has not really changed compared to when I obsessed and felt guilty about everything I ate.
