Music Monday-Favorite Songs Lryics

Okay, so you can't have a song without lyrics, am I right? Some lyrics manage to stick with you, and make your life a tad bit more awesome when you listen to them. Some are powerful, and are inspiring to you as you conquer the world. Some lyrics just make you feel like a badass, and at the end of the day that's all that matters. Here's some of my favorites.

Dream on, dream on til your dreams come true. (Aerosmith, Dream On)

You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope some day you join us, and the world will be as one. (John Lennon, Imagine)

I won't apologize for being different. (Sleeping With Sirens, Feel)
Maybe it's not too late to learn how to love and forget how to hate. (Ozzy Osbourne, Crazy Train)

Those are my favorite lyrics, well some of them anyways. What are yours?

Music Monday [Special Sunday Edition]-Superbowl Playlist

Hey so it's the Superbowl. Let me tell you that I'm not going to be the one cheering on the teams to victory. I'm more of eating all of the munchies that I can stuff my face with, in addition to the commercials and the half time show. However, I think that part of every game being a former athlete needs to have some awesome music to motivate you. So, here's some of my former favorites to help me get motivated, and to quote High School Musical, to get my head in the game. Also, some of these songs were not made during my badminton days, but oh well;

Dirty Deeds, Back in Black, and Highway to Hell by AC/DC
Sweet Emotion by Aerosmith
My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark by Fall Out Boy
I Love It by Icona Pop
Edge of Glory by Lady Gaga
We Will Rock You by Queen (Cause come on no sporting event is complete with out this song.)

What's on your superbowl playlist? Comment below?

Music Monday; Aerosmith

My favorite band in the whole wide world is a band from Boston, started in the early 70s. They, in my opinion are the true meaning of rock and roll. I literally can't say that there isn't a song by them that I don't like. Whenever I listen to them, I feel like a badass. Who is this band, who in my opinion, are the kings of rock and roll? Why that would be none other than Aerosmith!
Aerosmith has been around for decades, producing tons of hits. Most of you would know their song "I Don't Want to Miss A Thing" from Armageddon. (I will admit that it's a very good song), and "(Dude!) Looks Like a Lady!" from Mrs. Doubtfire. And who can forget their hit "Walk This Way" from Sex and the City? They are icons in the name of rock and roll, and will always be my favorite band, despite the fact that sometimes I may not listen to them on a daily basis.
Here's my favorites:

  • Angel
  • Blind Man
  • Crazy
  • Dueces Are Wild
  • Dream On
  • Dude! Looks Like a Lady
  • Eat the Rich
  • Get a Grip
  • Heart's Done Time
  • I Don't Want to Miss a Thing
  • Let the Music do the Talking
  • Livin' on the Edge
  • Love in an Elevator
  • Luv XXX
  • Nine Lives
  • Pink
  • Rag Doll
  • Rats in the Cellar
  • Sweet Emotion
  • Toys in the Attic
  • Walk on Water
  • Walk this Way
  • What Kind of Love You're On
  • Woman of the World
Here's a music video to Walk on Water:

Rock on!

Theme Songs.

Everyone has that song of theirs that makes them want to get up and dance. Everyone has that song of theirs that makes them want to do something. It's their pick me up, it's their chocolate at the end of the day.
I'm a victim of that notion. In fact, I have a lot of those songs. I'm a huge fan of making playlists, so here's the songs that do that for me.

1. Material Girl-Madonna
2. Girl Gone Wild-Madonna
3. Holiday-Madonna
4. Walk This Way-Aerosmith
5. Dream On-Aerosmith
6. Get A Grip-Aerosmith
7. The Grand Illusion-Styx
8. I'm A Girl-Nashville
9. HellRaiser-Ozzy Osbourne

What's yours?

Happy Birthday

Yesterday was the birthday of who I think is one of the most talented and creative songwriters of all time. And that is Mr. Steven Tyler. Steven Tyler is the head singer to my favorite band of all time, Aerosmith. So, happy 65th birthday, Steve! You are one talented little dude, and keep on rocking. You've inspired millions included myself. Your lryics help others, through difficult times, and make them love music. You create anthems, and inspire creativity.
You da man.
And yes, I'm listening to Aerosmith right now.
Happy birthday, Steven Tyler! Keep on rocking.
