Last Beach Day of the Summer

I can't believe that school is starting today. It seems like it was only yesterday when school was out, and now I'm about to start my senior year. So, last week Gabriel and I wanted to have one last hurrah before they went to Spain and I went to school to adult. We decided to make it a day filled with good food, the beach and getting a bunch of errands done.
After running to Target to get a purse, we ordered Thai food. After Gabriel got their food, we bought me a sticky bun (which was amazing) and then headed to the beach. The beach was about ten minutes away, so we were armed with fantastic tunes on the way there.
Once we got there, Gabriel and I ate our food. After eating, Gabriel went to lay in the sand and I walked around. (And took pictures.) After I got bored taking pictures, I sat down with Gabriel and we talked about life. Before leaving, we explored the beach and took a few selfies to remember the day. We then collected some sea glass and decided to head home.
This was an amazing way to celebrate the last few summer days. It was very relaxing and it was nice to spend some time with Gabriel before they head off to Spain.

21 is the Loneliest Number

Birthday cake!
As of last Sunday, I am officially 21. Yup, that's right. I'm legal. I can now buy any kind of wine, wine cooler and drink I want. So far, I still haven't used the power other than to buy a Seagrams escape bottle the day of my 21st birthday. (No I didn't take a picture of it, sorry guys I'm lame.)

Beachside selfies, cause it's my birthday!
This year, I went to the beach with Griffin and Gabriel at a state park. We went later in the day, since it was so hot out. After making many stops, we were finally there. The beach was amazing, even though it was a bit crowded since it was such a nice day.

Beach!
We even got bubbles, because awesome 21 year olds have bubbles.
Some bubble fun: Top: Griffin running through the bubbles. Middle: Me laughing while getting more soap. Bottom: Gabriel having some fun.
After we got tired of the beach, we decided to get some Thai food. Thai food, is one of my favorite things to eat mainly since it's dairy free and I don't have to worry about it bothering my stomach. Being the foodie that I am, I naturally took a picture of it.
Thai food: Pad Thai!
After the Thai food, we headed back to my house to get cake. (First picture) Overall, it was an amazing birthday, and I'm so glad I got to spend it with the people I'm closest to.

Favorite Place In the World..

In case you all didn't already know, the beach is one of my favorite places in the world. I literally can spend hours there, and not really care. Ever since I was little, the beach has been a place where I could always hang out. My family owns a beach house, and every weekend like clockwork, we would go there. I was always in the water, getting into some kind of trouble. Now as I'm older, I go there to find some sort of peace and serenity.
Whenever I go there, I often take too many pictures as well. There's something about the sand and the water that makes such pretty pictures. It's one of my favorite things actually to take pictures of, and therefore, I end up with thousands of pictures of the ocean on my camera roll.
One of the best memories of summer has to center around the beach. I spent my 20th birthday there, see post here, and I go there a lot over the summer with my friends. It's my favorite place to spend the summer, and I hope to one day own a place of my own at the beach. So, tell me. What's you're favorite summer spot?

Cheers to My Teen Years.

Last Saturday was my 20th birthday. I had an amazing birthday filled with great people, cake, Starbucks, and of course the beach. It was a long day, but it was exciting from start to finish. I got to spend it with Gabriel (naturally), Griffin, and Elisa. We first went to the beach, which is my favorite place on the planet. Then, we went out to eat a local diner. After that, we headed home to do all kinds of birthday stuff, such as open gifts, eat cake, and play a cardgame. (I actually won one!) After we were getting attacked by the bugs, we went to Starbucks, where I had a strawberry frappucino. (Which was so good)
Overall, I had an excellent birthday. I enjoyed spending time with the people who are nearest and dearest to me. It means a lot because once fall hits Gabriel and Griffin will be going off to college, however Elisa will be staying here because her school is actually in my hometown. I am so grateful to have such awesome friends in my life, and I thank all of them for making my birthday as awesome as it was.
Below are some pictures that I've taken through out the day. What is your favorite birthday memory? Let me know!
Starbucks, yum!

Best Place to spend a birthday, is it not?

This Summer So Far...A Photo Diary

One of the cool things about being a blogger is the excessive amounts of photos that you take. However, I want to show them off to more people than my Facebook friends, family, and Instagram Followers. So, I've decided to include some of my photos that I've taken over the past month or so in this Photo Diary.

Why I Love The Beach

The beach is one of my favorite places on earth. I love the fact that I'm able to just go somewhere, and relax. In honor of my love for the beach, I often wear a starfish necklace. Anyways, back to what I was saying. The beach is the place where I often went with my grandparents growing up, which in turn gave me the appreciation of the beach. To this day, I can't go onto a beach without hearing my grandma yell at my cousins' and I adventure through out the water, or my grandfather sitting at his chair at the front porch. Here's some awesome pictures that I've taken during my last trip to the beach.
Each of these pictures were taken during different times. The upper one was taken on my way around when I first got there. The bottom, which is one of my favorites, was taken during my last minutes there. Both pictures are my favorite ones, in addition to some awesome ones with my friend's sister, (whose also my friend),  which she posed for. But, all and all, I am honored to say that the beach is my favorite summer hang out, even when I get killer sunburn.
