iPhone 6 Review!

Last week, I announced that I was in the process of updating my phone. Now that my phone is finally here, I can finally post a review about it!
I got the iPhone 6 64 GB in gold. It arrived on Tuesday and I have been in love with it ever since. I like the phone for starters, because the battery life is amazing. I can go about a day and a half to two days without charging it. This is when I wait until it's down to about 5 percent battery and during the time between cycles I use it moderately. I also love it that since I have so much space on my phone I can fit my entire music library. (About 2500 songs and growing) The phone is also bigger and thinner than the four, which is both a good and a bad thing. It's a good thing because I like the bigger screen. It's a bad thing because it unfortunately can't fit into my wallet. (I have a smartphone wallet.)
Other than the fact that my phone is huge upgrade, I love some of the features it has. I like the fact that instead of entering a password I have the option to use my fingerprint to unlock my phone. I think that's pretty cool, if you ask me.  I also enjoy how fast the phone is compared to my iPhone 4. I can use Snapchat and it won't take hours and hella amount of battery just to open a single person's Snapchat. (Hence, why I would never use it)
I also like being able to use Siri. I will admit that I am one of those people whose using Siri for pretty much everything. Like, I'll ask Siri things for the sake of asking her things. I just think it's so cool! I also enjoy using it to talk to my phone through text message.
One of my favorite features about the phone has to be the camera. It's amazing. I like how clear the pictures come out. It looks a lot like my professional camera, so now I have the option to take pictures everywhere. (Which is good for the blog and for Instagram)
One final think I like is the pedometer on the phone. Thanks to iOS 8, it now has the health app which tracks how many steps I take daily. I personally like it because then I can justify how much food I eat.
Overall, I am in love with my iPhone 6, and I totally recommend it for those who are getting ready or even thinking about upgrading their phone.
Do you have the iPhone 6? What do you think about it?

Things No One Told Me About Getting a New Phone

Ladies and gentlemen, I finally got a new phone. For those who don't know me, I've had a white iPhone four for about two years. I got it back when the iPhone four was free with a two year contract. Now, as the end of my contract finally approached, I began to think about finally getting a replacement.
There were a few options to finally replacing my phone. However, I quickly learned the days of two year contracts were long gone. Our phone company is now doing AT&T next, which is you pay for the phone in monthly installments and can upgrade quicker. (Which I don't get why, the process of switching cell phones is beyond stressful) After a lot of thinking, I finally settled on the 5s due to the fact it was affordable. But when I went to go get a two year contract at the ATT store in my area, my phone company said they couldn't get it on a two year contract in the store. So my mom called the company, who finally explained what AT&T Next was and we finally decided to get the iPhone 6 in gold #basic. Since it was only a few dollars more to get the 64 GB (Because let's face it, I have a lot of music), I decided to spring for that one versus the 16 GB.
My new phone should be coming in very soon, however, there's so many things I didn't know when you're switching from iPhone to iPhone. Once I get my phone home, I'll be posting a review here for you all to see, as well as comparing it with my old one. In the mean time? Other than the new contract thing, here's a list of things that no one told me I needed to do when switching phones:
  • You need to back up things on iCloud in order to transfer. Remember that episode in "Sex and the City" when they asked Carrie if she backed things up and she said "I don't do that"? Well, I don't do that either..I used iCloud and back up my phone to my computer about once a week. However, to keep all of my apps the same, I need to use iCloud to transfer everything. Why is everything so confusing?
  • You don't just get a new phone. You have to get a new case as well. I kind of knew this, however, this still is a shock that whenever you get a new phone, you have to also buy a case to make sure it stays safe from the everyday fails of life. Whatever you do, don't get them from the store if you can help it. (Unless they are having a sale, which in that case go for it!) Head to your local Marshall's or TJ Maxx. They usually have things like Speck Candyshell cases for about $10, when they usually go for about $30.
What are some things you've found out when upgrading your phone? Let me know in the comments below, and look out for a review and comparison of the iPhone 6. (Compared to my old iPhone 4)

Wishlist Wednesday

Lately, it seems like I've been bitten by the shopping bug. As spring approaches, I've been craving brighter clothing and floral patterns. As well as that, I'm just ready for a few new things in my close.
Alex and Ani:In the summer, it seems like I'm always wearing my Alex and Ani bracelets. Since I'm not in a classroom, I don't have to fight with them to write. Also long sleeves make having charmed arms a bit challenging. This summer, I want to add a few additions to my Alex and Ani collection. I want to add the elephant (they are my favorite animal) and the Cinderella one, since lately it's been my obsession. Both of these bracelets I want to add in silver, because all of my gold ones seemed to turn.
iPhone 6:Lately, my phone seemed to be a bit...well not working for lack of better words. I have the 4, and it's starting to show it's age. The camera isn't working as well as it used to, and my battery has been dying quicker than ever before. My upgrade is up in June, and honestly, I'm ready for it. I am planning for the 6, because I figured that not only would it be the better choice, it would last longer. I want the newest, because I know that it will stay current at least for a while. I am debating about getting the gold or the black one, but since I have a few months until I have to decide, I have time. (Also currently saving.)

Lilly Pulitzer...well anything: Lilly has just arrived to Target, and I want to buy everything. Some of my favorites include this tote, which is only $15! I also love her springy tops. I currently have a Illy phone case, and I'm in love with it. I so can't wait to write more.
Lauren Conrad's Minnie Mouse Collection: I loved LC's Cinderella collection (I even own the blue shoe sweater) and am so excited for her to feature my favorite mouse! I definitely will be picking up a few pieces when it comes out in a few weeks.
What's on your wishlist?
*The tote for the Lilly bag is available here.
