Society and the Single Girl; Thing I Notice and Tend to Dislike About the Love Patterns of Girls.

Disclaimer: The following blog is about my opinion of relationships, and a rant that I have developed based on what I've seen nowadays. If this offends you, this means one of two things. One, you're a person who gets offended easily, or these things could pertain to you. Then that means that you perhaps need to reevaluate your lifestyle. Thank you and good night. I also want to say that not all people are like this, myself included. I'm just honestly wondering how some people can.

I hate it when girls lower themselves or change themselves for a guy or a boyfriend. I mean isn't the point of relationships to make someone like you for you? It's not like you have to change to be liked. If you did, then that would be no fun. It would be like getting to know this cloned verison of him in a dress. I mean come on. It's not cute when someone agrees with everything that you say just for the sole purpose of them liking you more. To find a connection that you crave, shouldn't you be honest? Just saying. Telling someone that you like to watch or play football when in reality you hate it isn't exactly the coolest thing ever. Plus, there's that whole respect factor. How can someone you love respect you when you're throwing yourself at them? Chances are they probably won't.
I feel like there's no chase anymore. If the cheese isn't hard to get, then the person won't cherise it. I believe that you should treat your significant other like they are a diamond, because they are just that precious to you. If you feel like they are like a CZ...then yeah that's a problem.
I also hate it when girls say that they are in love with their significant other, or when they say they are going to be married one day. Before you all want to have me beheaded, let me explain my reasoning. I don't mean this for a couple that's been going out for months or years. I mean this for the people that are really young and or immature, or have been going out for a couple of weeks. I believe that the love and the person has to kind of mature for it to work. Otherwise, it's just crappy infatuation in which you think that you love someone when you really just want to be in love.
I hate it when girls get mad when their significant other doesn't text them back right away. Okay for starters, phones aren't meant to be glued to their sides. I'm not a huge fan of my cellular device. The only time that I really like to use it is when I talk to my friends who are in the different countries. I tend to ignore people who text me, I'm not even going to lie to you people on that one. When I'm writing, I'm in the  zone. When I'm at school, I'm learning. I'm addicted to my phone, like the rest of society is. However, I don't (unless it's important for me to get in contact with you) yell at people or question their reasoning for not answering their cell phones. We all have lives that are beyond the screen. Girls, please remember that. Don't spam them, because that's just freaking annoying. Then, they will tend not to be attracted to you so much.
Finally, it bothers me when girls completely shelter themselves off with their boyfriend. For example, all they do is go to their house and hang out with them and not going out? Not cool honey. Sometimes, hanging out at the house is fine. However, sometimes you guys need a life that's not sheltered away from each other, such as sitting at home doing God knows what..well I try to make this blog as PG as possible, so...The problem with this is that by doing this you basically become sheltered which is unhealthy. Do something else other than hang out at his house. Like you know, get fresh air?
Seriously, girlfriends nowadays bug me. It's not all about your boyfriend because he usually finds that to be unattractive that your constantly up his ass. Get a job, a hobby, get some friends. He has a life, and so can you. That way, your relationship can be I don't know, healthy!

What Not to Do When You Like A Guy

Okay so like most people I am a compleete and total spaz when it comes to the opposite sex. I have no idea how to flirt, and I'm pretty sure that no guy will ever refer to me as sexy. Which is fine, because I'd rather be classy not sexy. I get so confused, and of course, I refer to online articles to help me. However, I do have some knowledge about the opposite sex, and I am here to tell you what not to do when you like a guy. This has been bought to you by my personal experience, with some comic insights.
1. When you like a guy do not call him dude or bro. Why? I call all of my friends who are guys bro. Those are people who I maintain a platonic relationship with, and plan on continue to. If you would like to avoid the friend zone, then avoid those words.
2. When you like a guy, don't get too serious too quick. Yes, he may like you. But no need to change your last name on Facebook, or relationship status. That's just creepy. And wierd.
3. Show him your available but not plaster it on your forehead. The same goes about your interest. Yes, you like him, and he makes you happy but I think that there's no need to text him every single day. Or every single minute. You get the picture. The point is you want to hint that you're available, not wear it on your shirt. This is a way to get him to not be into you. If you see that he's getting interested than amp up the flirting. But until then, just stay subtle.
(Don't do this....)
4. Don't mention your ex. This will make them think that they are still in your life or you still have feelings for him. Which may or may not be true. We get that youtr ex was a douche, but please keep him out of the convo.
5. Don't do da creep. You know what I mean. Don't show up where you know he will be. That my friend is known as stalking. You want to make him happy to see you, not want to call the police when your around.
6. Keep your crush offline. Tweeting lryics and tagging him in them? Kind of creepy for someone whose just a crush.
Basically, keep it classy. I've liked so many guys despite my dismal relationship history. The bottom line is to be a lady, because then you will be treated like one. Plain and simple. We all make mistakes when it comes to relationships, and I am no exception either. But by not doing these things, your chances are higher when it comes to making it actually happen.

I'm Half Of A Vegetarian.

Hi my name is Natalie and I don't eat red meat, fish, and basically any other meat that isn't chicken. No you didn't step into a weird support group meeting. Well, with the exception of once in a while, but for the most part, I only eat chicken as my main source of protein.
I did this for a number of reasons. The first was that I've always wanted to become some sort of vegetarian. I think that it's a good idea because it helps protect animals from cruelty. No animal deserves to die in a way that's unjust and I think that by cutting my meat consumption somewhat down, I can at least try to make a stand. Key word try here. I understand that in some instances, I guess you can say that I'm cheating, but it's my life. Another reason is for health reasons. Being a somewhat vegetarian, I can make more health conscious decisions, and eat more vegetables, than just constant hamburgers all of the time. Of course, eating more vegetables is a good thing, so yay! I'm trying to live a more healthy lifestyle, so I can you know be healthy, and live a long and healthy life.
My family doesn't understand my decision, because coming from Italian descent, there's a lot of meat. It's considered to be a sin if you critique or reject what Grandma wants you to eat. So when I told her that I only really eat chicken, she basically called me an asshole. Thanks Grandma. Anyways, I understand that my decision is somewhat controversial and against what she believes in, but here's the thing. I'm 19 years old and it's my decision.
Maybe this will be a phase, or maybe I'll live this way for the rest of my life. Who knows exactly. All I know is that whatever I decide, I know that for now, I'm cool about living a somewhat vegetarian lifestyle.

Music Monday: Christina Aguilera

Back in second grade, there was this ongoing debate-team Britney versus team Christina or Xtina. Then, I was a big fan of Britney, and the song Oops I Did It Again was my jam. However now, no offense to Britney, I am one of the biggest fans of Christina.
First of all, she is extremely talented. Let's just make that pretty damn clear. She and Demi I think are some of the two of the most talented women artists of our generation. Every song that she does, she showcases that talent in a unique way.
Now let's look at her music. She has five albums, one completion, one holiday album, and one holiday album to date. Her first album debuted in 1999, which produced that catchy bubble gum song 'Genie in a Bottle.' That album also produced 'What a Girl Wants,' "Reflection', and 'I Turn to You'. She was well on her way to stardom. Next, in 2002 she came out with my favorite album, against unpopular opinion. It's my favorite album because it's raw and real. I love albums like that because it shows unfiltered emotion which  I like. Next in 2006, came the jazzy pop album 'Back to Basics'. That album is one of my favorites because those songs aare catchy and remind me of a completely different era of music. I mean come on, who doesn't want to jam to 'Candy Man' when it comes on the radio? In 2010, she came out with 'Bionic', which isn't exactly one of her best albums to some. However, the album has a lot of catchy, upbeat pop tunes, like 'Vanity' or 'Bionic'. Sometimes, we just need some good pop music in our life, you know? Last year, 'Lotus' came out. I've enjoyed the album pretty much because it's a mix of "Stripped" and "Bionic". There's songs that empower us, like "Army of Me", and then there's songs that just are catchy and fun to dance to, like "Your Body."
I like her music because it's relatable and empowering. I also like that she has a balance between catchy bubble gum pop, and serious music. I think that having a balance is good because we as an audience like to have variety in our music. Christina does deliever that, and it keeps listeners on our toes, because we really don't know what's going to come out next with her.

Society and the Single Girl: The Baby Trend

Disclaimer; some adult content is in the proceeding blog entry..
Lately, it seems like everyone in my high school class is either pregnant or has a kid. Being perpetually single, I am a bit curious about that trend. I mean I'm young, and I have a lot going on for me. I want to see the world, and I want to be able to be young for as long as possible. I have plenty of time before I settle down and have the children and a husband. I have experiences that I want to have before that happens for me.
Honestly, the baby boom is something that is more mind-blowing for me than anything  else. I loved watching Secret Life of the American Teenager, but every time I watched Amy, I often wondered how she was able to do all of that. I mean in a way, you are sacrificing your teenage years, which is something that you will never be able to get back.
At the same time, I feel like people who are able to have sex should be able to deal with their consequences of it. If you get pregnant, than you were either stupid enough to forget to put a condom on or take a pill. It's so easy; the pill takes two seconds to take, and the condom probably doesn't take that long to apply either. Sex in my opinion is something that's more complex and mature than I am. I understand that it's pleasurable, but it can lead to things such as getting pregnant. There's clinics where you can get free condoms. I'm pretty sure that you can get them for free at some colleges. Basically, I feel like if you can't handle a having a baby, or aren't taking the responsible means necessary, than you shouldn't have sex. Now there's even Plan B, which I really disagree with because it gives someone an easy out if you decided to have sex, and be stupid. Plain and simple.
Of course, there are people who are having children who really aren't ready. We obviously can't force them to give up their children or forbid someone from having sex. It's a free country, and we can't do that to someone. However, we also have to think about the fact that there is another life, and they don't deserve parents who won't be there for them. No one deserves that kind of life.
I realize that mistakes happen and that we are not perfect. Sometimes, we are careless, and accidents happen with our ways of birth control. However, having a baby when you're still young really doesn't make that much sense to me. There's so much more out there than just having sex, and being stupid out there. There's facts to learn, and there's places to see. I don't know when I'm going to be ready to have children to be perfectly honest. I'd have to be married or have some sort of secure relationship, secure in my job, and ready for all of the things that come with having kids. I do know people who are mothers who are around my age and I would like to just add that I really do give them a lot of credit. Some of them are in school, and some of them work really hard to take care of their child.
The baby trend is something that I've noticed on social networking sites. However, it's a trend that I will not be a part of.

Society and the Single Girl; Classy vs Trashy

Disclaimer: The following is my opinion based on my opinion  I'm sorry if this comes off to be offensive to anyone. This doesn't refer to anyone individually, rather than my schema based on various shows, books, and other outlets of media. Also the definition of trashy was partially bought to you by Urban Dictionary.

One thing that bothers me is girls that act....well let's just say that their actions show us that they aren't the classiest individuals on the planet. Their behavior definitely shows that they don't respect themselves, their easy, and well basically it's self explanatory. They aren't exactly the greatest people in the world, because their reputation isn't the greatest. They have the tendency to hook up with any guy around, and a guy don't have to work hard to get, well you know. They drink a lot and they tend to get a little sloppy. In the Urban Dictionary definition, it says it's a person who lack knowledge and purpose in life. They aren't concerned with worldly matters, and academic subjects. They also contribute little or nothing in society, wear too much makeup, and are amused with simple matters such as partying and other useless and mudane things. They tend to dress in a manner that's a revealing and shows just a bit too much. Well, I guess that you all get the picture.
However, on the flip side of the coin, there's the classy individual. Those are the people who respect themselves, and others around them. They are very stylish and elegant, and are just cool. They care more than the simple things about life, such as academic subjects, and other enjoyable passions. They are respected by people because they have viewpoints, and they demand the respect that they eventually earn. They of course don't trust that easily, but they care about others' feelings. When it comes to the opposite sex, they just don't give it to them that easily. They obviously don't hook up with every guy that they meet, and they know that they aren't just a piece of meat.
In our society, there's a blend of both classy and trashy people. Some people aren't just one, because they are elements of both ends of the spectrum in pretty much all of us. Even the classiest of girls can have their trashy moments. However, with them it's moments, and not regular occurrences.
I think trashy people are the ones that have trashy occurrences pretty regularly. That's just my opinion.
Honestly, the trashier ends of the spectrum are the ones that really have nothing going on in their lives. Therefore they compensate by sexual desire, or by getting drunk constantly. Or by constantly partying. I think that's sad because everyone has a special amount of potential, but then they sell themselves short. Everyone has the potential to be great, and sometimes, they don't always measure up to the amount of greatness that they can be. Unfortunately, no one can change someone's outlook and perspective on their life, so they often fall through the cracks.
As a person who I like to think is classy, I think that in some cases this puts a damper on the ones who don't behave like that because then people (particularly straight men) often would want a girl who behaves in that matter. It's sad thing because in a way some guys expect that a girl will easily give themselves up because they are feeling horny. No, not all girls are like that. And no, not all girls will help you cheat on your girlfriend. Some girls would because they are considered trash. But, as a classy single girl, I will forever wonder if I can find a classy mate.
What happened to they days when males would call a girl out, and when they would go to a dinner and dancing or something? I am glad that society has progressed and it's becoming more sociably acceptable to make the first move. However, with the whole aspect of having sex and drinking becoming more and more a common thing in society, it makes me wonder since I don't want to do those things, will I ever find a man that actually respects that?

You Should Check Out Emma's Blog!

I would like to take a moment and give a shout out to one of my blogger friends! Her name is Emma, and she writes the blog "The World According to Emma." I actually know Emma in real life. Believe it or not, we go to the same school. We bounded over our love of Gilmore Girls, and started to tweet and message each other. We talk a lot about blogging, which is good because not many of my friends are English freaks and write blogs.
I love her blog for many reasons. I like to read some else's writing because it gives me a window on someone's cognitive thoughts and schema. There is so much that you can do with a blog, and I love Emma's because it's personal, but yet still witty. Her blog entries are relatable to anyone whose in college or about to go to college. She talks about things that are going on in her personal life, like her school events, and her work life, but still writes original pieces. My favorite feature is What I Love Wednesday, which talks about things that she loves. (My personal favorite is the Gilmore Girls one- read here! http://emmajudy.blogspot.com/2013/11/what-i-love-wednesdaygilmore-girls.html)
All and all, I highly recommend her blog, because it's amazingly well done, and well written. I look forward to reading her blog in the future, and watching her grow as a writer!
Read her blog!
