#inspirationmovement-"Me, Myself, and I"

I think that the biggest relationship that we have in our lives is the one that we have with ourselves. If you don't love yourself, then you won't be able to love someone else. Sometimes self love, and being kind yourself is necessary.
The relationship that I have with myself needs some work, I do admit. I sometimes push myself to extremes, and am always down on myself. I sometimes think that I am not good enough, and have days when I'm down. I realize that these kinds of thought processes are bought on by stress, and feeling like I'm not good enough.
However, with that being said I'm trying to do better. I'm trying to become more organized, and realizing that it's okay to sometimes say "I need a break." I bought the Demi Lovato book, and decided to actually read it everyday. I even decided to take a half an hour, to an hour of time for myself to do something really cool for me. I think that by doing that helps me realize that everything is going to be okay. Whether it's watching New Girl, or reading Divergent, it's time for me. I need to do that for me.
The relationship with myself is going to take time to repair. However, over time I think that there's always room for improvement. You're in a relationship with yourself for as long as you live so therefore you must nurture it just like you always nurture relationships that you have with other people. Love yourself, love others.
End of story.

  1. Agreed. You aren't able to fully love another person until you fully love yourself. It's good that you're taking time for yourself and doing little things to make you happy. Those little moments will all add up and make you more appreciative of your own time too!

  2. Hi Natalie, thanks for such an honest post. I think you are right on the money about 'having a relationship with yourself'. When I was younger I often tried to be different just to fit in. These days I'm much more comfortable and confident with what's right for me. Makes life much more enjoyable :)
