Lose.

Lose my number, forget my name, yeahhhh...

So you want me, yes you do.
I just don't believe it's true.
I don't want you to be mine.
I don't want a valentine.
You have my number, want to see
You don't mean shit to me.
Cause I don't need you.
I've got enough to do.

Chorus:
Lose my number, forget my name.
Oh to you they sound the same.
Oh you think that we're here to serve you,
Well Mr. that ain't true.
You have your girl, and something on the side,
Well damn it, I've got my pride.
You've got to chose.
It's a game to you and you're going to lose.

I like a man who only sees me
But with you, hows that going too be?
Sitting here,
You wanna call me dear.
I don't care,
Please don't go there.
I mind when you bring others home, and think its okay.
That's the game I ain't gonna play.

Chorus

I wish you would understand,
I don't want you to be my man

Chorus (repeat)

Roll the dice you have to choose
You've gotta lose.

In Between The Lines.

I've decided to try my hand at reading Grimm's Fairy Tales. I'm on page 20, so I have a long way to go before finishing the book. However while reading it, I did realize something.
When watching the Disney version, one can conclude that they are overly happy and joyous. There's nothing wrong with that because happiness is something that everyone should look to obtain. However,  it's not realistic. After all, not everyone is happy every day of the week.
In the Grimm's version of the fairy tale, I noticed that indeed the stories are a tad bit more realistic. If you read between the lines, you find more then just magical creatures, fairies and witches. You find life lessons, things that they didn't put in the Disney version. (Sorry Disney, as much as I loved you when I was a kid, this is kind of true.) We've all read Cinderella, right? (Okay, fine or saw the movie.) Cinderella talks about going through rough times, to equal to a good time. (Or in her case, she marries a prince and goes on to be happily ever after. Either one works for you) But, she's often my favorite princess because she had a lot to go through to get to that happiness. For example, she did all of the work for people that really took advantage of her. Which sucks, if you ask me.
Fairy tales are like people. Sometimes, you have to read between the lines of them to find out their true meaning. Interpreting things can lead to be wrong, but if you follow your gut then you will never go wrong.

The Cycle of Imprints.

One of the hardest things that I've ever had to do was watching my grandfather die. I remember his eyes widening with sadness, his voice hoarse as if he had laryngitis and the sound of his heavy breathing. I can still remember surrounding the hospital bed the night that we found out that he would be on hospice care, to make him die easier, perhaps more comfortably. My grandmother cried in the bathroom, and it was the only time I was in the emergency room with out the urge to pass out.
He was like that for a month. The last ten days of his life were spent without food or water, just chewing ice cubes. He suffered for over six year, the patriarch of our family who took care of his slowly began to need to be taken care of.
Today, I think about his death, and begin to wonder why people have to suffer the way they do. Good people, who have done good things, went to church and paid their taxes on time. People who would do anything to help another soul on this earth. They were sometimes the ones who suffered the most. Unfortunately, although I have many books that have the answers to many things, I'm afraid that I don't have the answer to this one.
Death is something that is just part of the cycle of life. We're born, we live and then we die. It's morbid, but true. We live to make an impression I believe. The impression is the people that we know and the things that we do. That way, when we die we leave a footprint on the world, something that lets humanity know that we were there.
What's your footprint that you'll leave on the world? Mine is the words that I mix together into lovely sentences. I have friends, family, and teachers who probably either think that I'm the best student ever or really lazy. Or both. Someday, I'll wear a man's wedding band, and have two little daughters of my very own . I'll have left my mark to the patients I conseled, and the readers I have. My goal of life is to make an imprint on this earth.

I See Red

I don't know what you've done to me,
Just the sight of you makes me angry.
A fire that burns in your soul,
A powerful hatred that burns out of control
You wanted me to let you in,
Your motivation is purely sin
I can't look at you without going mad
When karma hits you I will finally be glad

Chorus
I see red when I see your face
Takes me back to a time and place
When you pushed me to the limit,
I would wonder what caused you to finally get it
I see red when you call my phone
Will you ever leave me alone
You've destroyed my self confidence
All in hopes of twisted romance
You're now done messing with my head
And all I see is red

Don't try to force yourself in,
I don't care for you, you were never him
You wanted to break the barrier
Just so you can say that you had her
You think you're the man
So really you don't care who I am?
Was I the girl taking up the space?
A person that you can replace

Chorus

You said I'd be your one and only
But that sounds like bullshit to me
You were never an option
I won't just go through the motions
I'm not like that
Cause that's a fact
You should get that through your head
Because your face causes me to see red

Chorus

Guns don't kill people.

Guns don't kill people,
people kill people.
Many people believe this concept,
But I believe it's not true.
They took 26 lives one December day.
26 lives who were innocent, and had bright futures.
All gone at the shot of a gun.

Guns are the cause of many deaths a year,
Someone take the guns away from the hands of evil.
Take the guns away from the hands of hard souls.
Subsitute love with hate,
It's not too late.
Let's make a difference for a brighter tomorrow.
So our kids won't share our sorrow.

Cookies.

I can smell them in the air,
The scent that makes my mouth water.
I look at the clock anxiously.
Any minute now they will come to me.
Ding!
The oven clock signals that at last they are ready to come out.
Finally, they can come to my mouth.
Once they have cooled,
I pop one in.
It's a gooey mix of heaven.

Okay, so I'm trying to write a poem for my English class. Any thoughts?

Libary Longings.

Shall I compare thee to a summer day,
He tells me with the dusty book wide open.
We stood together in a crowded library,
He's decided to woo me with the sweet words of dead poets.
His gaze every lasting,
His eyes never leaving mine,
They seem to scream to me 'i like you, i like you!'
I wondered if mine were screaming as well.
My lips crave the taste of his,
The taste of his lips.
Then it feels like time has frozen,
We have no words left to say.
So we let our actions speak for us.
Surrounded by the many love stories, young and old around us.
Shall I compare this to a winter's day?
This chilly feeling in my veins
Makes me want this moment to last forever.

Hey guys, so I have to write a poem for my English class. Is this good?

Equality.

Imagine you're in love with someone, and you know that they are the one. They are the one who make you laugh, and make you feel warm and fuzzy inside. They are the one that you want to spend the rest of your life with and believe it or not it's a mutual consensus. You decide to get married.
However there is one problem-your partner and you are the same sex and it's illegal for you to get married.
Same sex marriage is an issue that has been in the news recently. Honestly, I believe that there shouldn't be much of an issue for that. Everyone who is in love, and wants to get married should have that right. It's a human right to get a wedding that you desire, I firmly believe that.
However some people do not believe that, and although we've progressed fairly far in this field, we still have a long way to go. Nine states allow gay marriage. And how many states are in the union?
Some say that it's because the Bible doesn't say that marriage is between a man and a man and a woman and a woman. However, isn't there supposed to be a separation between church and state? We don't allow the Bible to be taught in public schools, so why should we allow it to control our laws?
The bottom line is gay or straight, everyone who wants to have the legal rights of marriage should have them. It bothers me, because there are people who get married for the wrong reasons, heterosexual couples nonetheless can get married, yet the homosexual couple who wants to get married for the right reasons can not. It makes no sense to me whatsoever. Because of this, gay people who are in love are denied the right of making decisions for an incompetent loved one who is no longer able to make a decision on their own. They, although they love each other, can not legally call each other family.
I do believe in God, and the Bible. I believe that God wants gay people the way that they are because that's the way that he made them. Therefore, we can not deny those people that right, because they love who they love. It shouldn't be a debate. It's love.
