NanoWriMo Week 2 Update

Current word count:29,288 out of 50,000 (As of 11/16/2015)
Hi guys! So I'm updating you all on my latest endeavors writing for NanoWriMo. Since my last update, I've written over 18,000 words, and 66 pages. I still can't believe how much I've been able to accomplish. Usually, right about now I would be giving up. However, I still can't help but be encouraged to write more. I could see that this would be the year that I actually finish my novel, which is really exciting.
One of the problems I've been having is trying to figure out how to make my novel last 50,000 words. I know that the problem I'm going to create for my character is going to last a little while longer, but I'm not sure how long it's going to make it last while being interesting. However, once I'm done writing this update, I'm going to pen an introduction.
Furthermore, the biggest update I have novelling is that I'm on Tablo. So far, I've published the first chapters and I'm looking to publish more as time goes on. By the end of the month, expect the entire novel to be up.
Anyways, this weekend I'm going to be spending it novelling. Stay tuned next week for a special update.

NanoWriMo Update 1

Word Count: (As of 4 pm on Sat. Nov. 6) 11,860
Nano Wri Mo, or National Novel Writing Month, occurs every November. It's the month of extreme writing, and the end goal is to produce one novel spanning 50,000 words. Wow, that's a lot of words! Challenge accepted.
I've done NanoWriMo a few years now, and usually the farthest I've ever gotten was about 20,000. The thought of writing a completed novel usually was a daunting task, and I've never completely finished a novel. Or got to the middle part of it. And throughout the year, when I wrote novels that are not rushed, I would just get bored in the middle and forget about them.
However, this year I've decided to enter. Despite not having much time to do it. I've decided, in the efforts to relax, to use it as a time to just write. My novel is called "Tinderella," and it's about a girl whose forced into the online dating scene. She goes through trials and errors, and in the end, could find a Prince Charming.
The bottom line is I'll edit later. NanoWriMo has definitely been a huge bit of motivation to write it, along with Nano Word Sprints.  I'm determined to make it to the goal, and I'm already 1/5th of the way there. Actually, I'm passed the 1/5th mark, which makes it even more exciting.
What's even more shocking about it is how much I've been writing. Every day, I've been writing an average of 2,000 words. Why? Because you have to tear me away to get me to stop writing. I'm so immersed in the story, and I literally can't stop writing. Writing my novel has become a place where I can just relax, which is something that I need.
So, here's to another week of intense noveling. I know I can do it.
Are you doing NanoWriMo? Let me know in the comments below.

November 2013 Goals And Stuff

Wow, I can't believe that it's November! It seems like yesterday that I was changing my calendar to the 2013 one, and now the year is somewhat over. It's amazing how fast the year goes by. I've decided to set a few goals this month. Hopefully, I'll actually met them!
  • Actually complete Nano Wri Mo. I've tried for three years without much success. Needless to say, I'm going to try to make it up to 50,000 words and actually complete a novel.
  • Try to get my grades up. Because of my low grades in psychology, my GPA is going down. I would like to at least keep it at a 3.0, and then be done with psychology forever.
  • Get more confidence. This is more of a long term goal, but I think if I take it in more smaller steps better progress can be made. My boss mentioned that I'm not as confident as I need to be, and I would like to work on being less of an introvert, and more of an extravert.
  • Take more chances. One of my biggest fears in life is getting hurt, especially in the romantic area. I've decided to work on that, once again in smaller steps. However, the common consenous that I've heard is that its better to risk things, and have some sort of chance at being happy, vs doing nothing and not being happy. I have had negative experiences with relationships, and because of that, taking a risk in that department can be the hardest for me. It will get easier, it's just going to take time.
  • Save money. I've been addicted to amazon for the past month, and I'm realizing that with Christmas coming up, it's best that I start to save money for the upcoming holiday season. Hopefully, I can succeed with that.
What are your goals for this month?

Noveling November

First and foremost, I wanted to thank everyone who has taken the time to read this blog! In the month of October, I've gotten over 500 views, which is really nice to see. Also, I've written the most posts this month than ever before! Not to mention, it's a really nice ego booster. Thank you all, because it means a lot that people actually read what I write.
November, is as some of you know National Writing Month. I'm participating in Nano Wri Mo, which consists of me writing a 50,000 word novel. Yes, I'm crazy, especially with school and stuff. Usually, I only get half way done, then forget. However, it doesn't stop me from trying.
I won't reveal what my novel project is yet, because that's kind of in the works.I will however, in December tell you all about it.
Now what does that mean for Finding My Voice? Obviously, I can't stop blogging. For most of November, there will be entries that are have been written before hand, in addition to whatever Music Mondays and Things I Love Thursdays I post. My goal is to write at least 15 entries for this month. However, since noveling and school will take up a lot of time I'll probably have about ten. As for Thanksgiving break, I will be able to actually live post, which is always exciting.
I'll be sure to blog about my progress with this novel, and I thank each and every one of you for actually viewing my blog!
